Eggs

Eggs

Cast Paint Eggs are up-cycled works of art. They are comprised of used eggshells and discarded house paint otherwise destined for a landfill. The artist eats every egg that is used in his cast-paint process. The artwork utilizes the interior of empty eggshells as a vessel for the paint. Multiple detailing techniques and colorful layers fill the vessel.
Each signed edition of 30 eggs take approximately six months to create are delivered with the shell intact. The recipient must peel the shell to reveal a unique painting within.

Some eggs are assembled into sculptural artworks. The following assemblages were constructed for selected exhibitions focussed on recycled art and other thematic shows. Up-cycling is the focus of these projects with an eye for creating beauty with materials that would otherwise be labeled trash.
