News Letter
Happy Winter Solstice 2025
This year has been a roller coaster for many including myself.
I turned 60 years old and the universe has included life changes otherwise unforeseen a year ago. Some are rather significant. Despite personal headwinds my studio practice continues with projects, commissions and private work.
The largest milestone by far is the completion of a multi-year book project for Seattle artist legend Stephen J. Walker. This week the printed copies are due to arrive from the press and we are all excited to hold them in our hands.
I took on this project to assist in putting his life’s work together in a 12×17 hardcover tome filled with stories, drawing, paintings, news articles and more. All of which had to be sourced, photographed, scanned, processed and assembled with creative cloud apps for the publisher in Toronto. I am proud of this work and honored to help achieve this dream for the artist. Incidentally, I also assist with his e-commerce and content production for his website as well.
Copies of Studio Tour will be available for purchase soon on his website at: https://www.stephenjwalkerart.com/
I would be thrilled to take on another project like this, as doing so takes advantage of all my skillsets in graphic design, production, printing, web, e-commerce, and marketing.

This past fall I had two shows in the Seattle area. Both were last minute installations with little time to announce ahead of time that they were occurring.
I presented nine paintings at Water Sines Studio during the month of October from my archive of oil paintings from the 1990’s. Although well received during event openings, the Seattle venue is not generally open to the public.
Also in October and November, Jeffery Moose Gallery on Bainbridge Island presented a range of artwork for his 30th anniversary celebration. My painting Onwards was included because the gallery represented my work decades ago.

I continue adding available art to my website shop. Recently I added a new batch of printable art for your home-printer. A few images only remain now in digital format, as several of the original paintings were destroyed in a fire or suffered other damage. The choice here was to give them new life.
You can download, print and insert them into commonly available frame sizes of 5×5, 8×8, 5×7 and 8×10. These make great gifts or additions to your home decor. Some assembly required.

As we near the end of 2025 (the year of the Snake), I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that I have available artwork honoring the Snake. In the early 1990’s I created a large scale oil painting and silk-screen prints based on a drawing in my sketchbook. The design is called Rain Snake.
The original 40×79 inch oil painting of Rain Snake is available here
And a limited number of Rain Snake prints are available here

Over the coming months I plan on launching an e-book project that encapsulated 30+ years of my print and web skills into a guide for others to follow. I started this project in the early 2000s but put it on a shelf to retool. Mostly for reasons related to physical publishing. Contemporary tools make it easier to produce and distribute it as an electronic product. I’ll announce more about this project at a later date.
Stay safe out there and good luck to us all in 2026.
